Robert Leo Buffington

Robert L. Buffington Jr, 61 of Newton Falls, formerly of East Liverpool passed at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown on Sunday, April 21, 2024, after a brief illness.

Bob was born in Beaver, PA, on September 30, 1963. He was the son of Barbara Ann Corless Buffington of Monaca, PA, and the late Robert L. Buffington Sr.

He worked at Zinc Corporation in Monaca until its closure and became a general maintenance contractor. Bob was an avid hunter and Pittsburgh Steeler fan. He graduated from South Side High School.

In addition to his parents, brother, and sister, Barbara Jean they preceded him in death.

Bob leaves his children, Roberta (Aaron) Morris and her children, Michael, and Hollie of East Liverpool, and son Robert L. Buffington III of East Liverpool; his stepchildren, Jimmy Lopatin of Newell, and Josh Lopatin of Ellwood City, PA; grandson, Jacob Lopatin; and his siblings, Roberta Neil, John (Maryann) Buffington, Frank Buffington, James Buffington, Bill Buffington, and Patti Motzer-Corless.

Services will be held on Monday, April 29, at 8:00 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Friends may visit the family on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
